Standing proudly on Avenida da Liberdade, the wide 19th-century boulevard where sought-after designer shops sit alongside high-end hotels and top restaurants, the Heritage Avenida Liberdade is a welcoming sight, its beautiful blue façade enhanced by period shutters and exquisite wrought-iron balconies.
Its interiors, designed by Lisbon-born designer Miguel Câncio Martins, pay homage to the building’s elegant past while preserving as many original elements as possible. Carefully restored blue-and-white Pombaline tiles cover the public areas, named after the Marquis of Pombal, who was responsible for much of the capital’s reconstruction in the 18th century.
Elsewhere, modern luxuries, from a gym to a stylish lap pool, are found within the ancient walls, which still resonate with history.

Location
Located on the main avenue of Lisbon, Avenida da Liberdade, a small boutique hotel in the historic centre of Lisbon.
Many of Lisbon’s historic sites, such as Praça do Comércio, the Moorish district of Alfama and the elevator of Santa Justa are just a stroll away.
Originally built as a park, the Passeio Público, a promenade where the nobility could meet, Avenida da Liberdade (Liberty Avenue) was inaugurated in 1886 and is now considered one of the most expensive avenues in the world. Every second and fourth weekend (weather permiting) of the month, an antiques and bric-a-brac market is held here.
